See how the first coat of Cetol came out on the teak

Here are the prepped teak trim planks after cleaning. The test plank is on the left, finished with 2 coats of Cetol.
My lovely wife helped apply the finish on the teak trim. It was a pretty quick job and we were able to do it in a bedroom with the door closed and the windows wide open. We used small sponge applicators and that seemed to be a good call. The Cetol is pretty smelly stuff for a few hours. If the temperatures had been above freezing, would definitely prefer to do outdoors.
This is how the teak looks after the first coat.
Same planks! After it dried, you can definitely see where the porosity of the wood caused an uneven finish. I believe the deeper grooves just absorbed more of the finish. Let’s see it looks after the second coat.
